In order to ensure everyone feels safe at camp, the following items are not permitted:
* Snacks or candy (lunch and snacks will be provided for your child while at camp, where applicable)
* Electronics of any kind, including cell phones, tablets, cameras, or remote controlled toys (campers are permitted to use a leader’s phone to call a parent if needed)
* Pocket knives, money, expensive items, or special items that could get lost or stolen
If a child brings one of these items to camp, they will be asked to find a safe place to leave it during the camp (a leader can help if it should be kept up high). At the end of the day, they can take it home, but with a reminder that it should stay at home while they are at camp.
The following rules are in place while your child is it at camp to ensure a fun and safe environment for all:
Listen
Be Kind
Have Fun
&
Everyone Helps Clean Up
These rules will be explained to the children on the first day of camp and they are expected to be followed throughout the week. If a child chooses not to follow the rules after a warning, they will be asked to take a break from the activity to think about their actions and/or talk to a leader about what they will do differently next time. If the issue persists, the parents will be notified and the child will be sent home from camp without refund. If the issue is severe, the child may not be permitted to attend future events. However, this is extremely rare.
Here at K-J's Crazy Day Camps, we believe that all children should be able to attend our day camps, regardless of whether they can be on social media or not. We love to take pictures of the activities the kids are doing, and we are thankful for all the amazing families who do enjoy us posting photos on our social media platforms. This being said, we respect your decision either way and do not single anyone out for not being allowed in social media photos.
If you choose not to allow social media permission, we will only use photos with your child's face in them for the leaders to remember the fun activities we did at the camp, and only post photos on our social media where your child's face cannot be seen, such as from the back of their head or their hand holding up a craft they made.
